Green Flag Racing – Show Your Stuff

Present Your Racing Program

Before you go give your first presentation, practice with a family or team member beforehand. Have a rough agenda of what you will cover - for example, Intro, Proposal Highlights, Questions. When you show up for your meeting (ON TIME, of course), bring along a few extra copies of your proposal in case any extra people are in attendance. You'll also want to have a Letter of Intent in case you get to closing and they want their attorney to draft a contract. More on this in Close the Deal.

Now, if you want to get really fancy, you could do a PowerPoint type presentation if you've got the equipment. Assuming you have sent out the proposal in advance, your presentation should just be a highlight of the proposal and your key race program benefits.

The majority of the meeting will probably be spent answering questions the potential sponsor may have. Ask questions as well. This is the time to find out more details on their current business advertising methods, their target customers, business objectives, etc... Listen carefully to their answers. They will offer clues as to how you can tailor your race program even more to meet their specific needs.
